The average cost of a burial plot is around RM1,000 to RM9,000. But it varies depending on several factors.

Rural cemeteries fall within the lower end of the range, while urban cemeteries are at the upper end of the range, since land is at a premium level. The plots are less expensive for infants and children.

For private cemetery – Depending on where the cemetery is located, the amenities of the cemetery, and whether the plot is in a more desirable section within the cemetery, the average cost of a single burial plot is RM10,000 to RM30,000. A burial plot in a private cemetery will escalate up to RM100,000 for a single burial plot in densely populated urban areas, and up to RM200,,000 or greater for a double depth plot.
