Casket Donation
Why donate casket?
Having a gift in memory of someone who’s died is almost always appropriate. It is a good contribution to the world in their memory, and their loved ones will probably appreciate that.
There are those in our society who are poor and who deserve a coffin or casket donation that is funded by our loving community.
Most will end up as unclaimed bodies, reported by the National Institute of Forensic Medicine to be in the number of hundreds over cases, and most will not have a proper send-off during the funeral.
This means either the hospital will notify the funeral associations, who would then notify MBCS, or the funeral associations will approach MBCS for funeral donation when the family is unable to afford to pay for the funeral.
Companies like Malaysian Buddhist Cooperative Society (MBCS) appreciates donors and those that support to do the final rituals of those who are less fortunate.
