About Hindu Funeral Service
Hindu Funeral Service believes that the departed’s soul will reincarnate into another life force. Hinduism teaches that the destiny of a soul’s next incarnation depends on the action of the individual in their last physical life (karma), which is quite similar to the Buddhism beliefs.
After death, the deceased’s body will be washed and placed in a casket with flowers placed on the feet. The forehead will be placed with either sandalwood or turmeric, depending on the gender of the deceased. Most funeral service providers will be able to accommodate for other specifics of a Hindu funeral – but if you are unsure, you can get in touch with us for more details.
Funeral flowers are common tradition, so if you wish to send some flowers – you may do so before the funeral.
